Today i'm back with a step by step tutorial on how to create these lovely vintage rose nails! It's quite easy to do and you only need a few tools and colours.
Tools used:
- Toothpick/Pen/Pencil: to create the "petals" of the roses
Nail polishes used:
- Clear Base Coat: Dear Face Mix and Match: Top Coat
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear: Mint Sorbet
- Butter London: Trout Pout
- Butter London: Macbeth
- Butter London: Slapper
let's begin! :)
- Apply a a base coat to help prevent your nails staining from the coloured polish
- Apply 2-3 coats of the light mint colour! I mixed in a little bit of white as the mint colour was a tad too dark
- Apply three pink dots (i used Butter London Trout Pout) onto your nails. I used a back of a pencil that is slightly rounded or you could use the nail brush! (this may depend on the size of your nails, if your nails are longer you can put 4-5 and if there a bit shorter 2-3 dots will do as well)
- Using the colour Macbeth by Butter London or a hot pink/red colour, create 3 swirls around the salmon pink dots. Try by creating a messy 3 or a messy big E without joining them too closely
- Create two smaller dashes using a darker aqua/mint shade near the rose bud to create leaves. You can add extra detail by adding a green nail polish to create veins onto the leaves, for a more realistic look
- And You’re Done! It may be a bit difficult on your other hand, but if you take your time and try it out a couple of times. You'll master it soon enough, so have fun with this easy vintage rose nails! :)
Anyways until next time,
